Dear Yuletide Santa 2010

Hi Yuletide Santa! Thanks so much for writing a story for me!

IN GENERAL: I like reading romantic stories that aren't sappy-sweet and are a bit more realistic than they are perfect; angst always makes the good stuff sweeter but too much can be overwhelming; canon pairings ftw; in-character stories are awesome; and involving sidekicks is great. pre-canon adventures, missing scenes, and post-canon adventures are all good.

if the series is contemporary i love when the story puts the main characters in formal dress for some kind of event and that definitely has an effect on the characters when they see each other. hell, even when it's not contemporary, it still works.

i also love the ridiculous trope that involves the main romantic pairing somehow becoming telepathically connected. and if you can't figure out how to use that, don't worry, it probably means you're far more sane than i am. a trope i don't like, though, is the one that involves a misunderstanding that would easily be cleared up by a conversation.

really, whatever strikes you, i will like. humor, some angst, some romance, action, adventure, nice moments between all the characters, ending on a good note. whatever works for the canon will be good for me.

#1 - Legend of the Seeker
Characters: Kahlan Amnell, Richard Cypher
Freeform: Romance
Category: F/M
Rating: Explicit
Details: I would LOVE to see Richard/Kahlan after the end of Season 2, when they know that they can really be together. What would be even MORE awesome is if you have knowledge of bookverse and can use that, but it's not required. Richard and Kahlan getting married, first time, going back to Westland, going on another quest for something, hanging out at the Confessor's Palace, Zedd and Cara hanging out with them, whatever you'd like. I love romance, angst, drama, action, adventure. If you do heavy angst, though, I'd prefer there to be a happy (or at least happier) ending.

#2 - Nancy Drew
Characters: Nancy Drew, Ned Nickerson
Freeform: Romance
Category: F/M
Rating: Explicit
Details: I love Nancy Drew with Ned Nickerson. I love first time, married, at college together, living together, having a fight but making up, angst, drama, romance, humor as long as it doesn't get too surreal or ridiculous, pretty much anything. The only thing I don't like is a lot of graphic torture, but graphic sex is totally fine. If you'd like a specific prompt, maybe something involving Nancy and Ned in formal dress at some event, or either Nancy and Ned going missing and the other having to find him or her. Bess, George, Carson, and Hannah are great, but if you include Frank Hardy, I don't want the story to end with Nancy/Frank instead of Nancy/Ned.

#3 - Archer
Characters: Any
Freeform: Humor
Category: F/M
Rating: Any
Details: I love the entire cast. I'd kind of like to see something involving Archer and Lana when they were still together, before she broke up with him, or maybe the return of Conway Stern, since we all know he'll come back. Maybe something involving Popeye. Literally anything you come up with here will be amazing.

#4 - Community
Characters: Jeff Winger, Annie Edison
Freeform: Humor
Category: Gen
Rating: Any
Details: I love the entire cast, so you don't need just Annie and Jeff; I'd love to see a Troy and Abed adventure too, Shirley and Pierce having to work together to do something, Britta being herself. I ship Jeff/Annie and Jeff/Britta, and I can go along with Britta/Troy, but if you pair anyone, please make it het (not Jeff/Slater, though, please). I like bottle scenarios (all on campus) or off-campus shenanigans, either one. I'll be happy with any great story for this fandom. =)
