am considering buying Bon Iver's "For Emma, Forever Ago" album off iTunes. possibly because i want to relive that awesome chuck/sarah scene in as many ways as possible. so, poll.
i have one editors album and i don't enjoy it at all. i find its kind of like, joy division ripoff. dnw. i like a few songs though.. not even sure what cd it is because i've only listened to it a handful of times.
i have the bon iver cd and i can honestly say i wasn't impressed by it. the only tracks i like off it are: skinny love, the wolves (act I and II), and lump sum. i only like the chorus of creature fear, haha. but now it reminds me of chuck/sarah so that's good.
phoenix is pretty good even though i only have a handful of songs. not sure if i'd buy their cd but that's just me.
i have one editors album (the end has a start) and i really like it; i seem to really like bands that are classified as joy division ripoffs, but i don't actually like joy division itself as much. odd, no? i absolutely adore interpol. but thanks for the recommendations for tracks.
lol, i really wonder what the cd i have is now, hmmmm... but i don't even know where it's at, haha. fail.
i like a few joy division songs but i find they get too depressing after awhile and it makes me sad. :(
you're welcome! i think the bon iver cd only has a few tracks on it actually, well at least the version i have does. maybe... idk, 7-9 tracks? which is kind of a rip off if you ask me. i'd download it if i were you if it's too expensive. or maybe i have a different version that doesn't include all the songs. ...ehhh i'll stop rambling now, haha. :)
I just acquired said album and I can't say that it's something I'd buy for just that one song. I enjoy Bon Iver's style, but I also don't really like music that's too 'emotional'.
Glad to be of service. I find music comms very helpful, it keeps me rolling in music I am wildly enthusiastic about. Too bad most of them are very secretive :P
