It's almost time! I'd like to figure out what to write, though. I have definitely decided that it will be a Nancy Drew story this year. Of all the fandoms I write, that's the one that's most fun for me to write.

Seriously, guys. Christmastime spoiled me. I am in desperate need of more Nancy/Ned fic in which they may or may not rip each other's clothes off with their teeth. I'm shaking like a crack fiend. I blow through anything updated at [Poll #1811284]

Okay, I'm rewriting that perennial classic, the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys Super Mystery [Poll #1807931]

So I got in late on this whole [livejournal.com profile] help_haiti bandwagon, because by the time I went to check it out, signups were over. I kind of like the idea of getting you guys to vote below, bid on what you want and if the story gets written, you're on your honor to donate to Doctors Without Borders/American Red Cross/Oxfam, or something. The higher the bid amount, the quicker it would theoretically get written.

Or I'm crazy.

Anyway, I've had some odd plot bunnies recently, so, go for those checkboxes and leave a comment with how much each prompt is worth to you. (So if you really want to see prompt #3, for example, you'll bid more for it.) Something like that. We'll see how it goes. I'll guarantee 1500 words for each story, at least, and your bid has to be at least $1. You can also vote without bidding, but I'll give preference to the prompts that are bid on.

* If you pick wild card, it must involve a show that I've already written for. Again, unless you want bizarre OOC crackfic.

NOTE: If for some reason you can't vote in the poll below, feel free to vote in the comments. (If you do vote, tell me if/how much you'll donate and if you pick wild card, you have to comment to tell me what you want!)

[Poll #1521918]

Have we talked about Archer, flist? Archer is like this bizarre animated spy cousin of Arrested Development (in that Jessica Walter, who played Lucille Bluth, and Judy Greer, who played Kitty Sanchez, are regular cast, and the guy voicing Archer makes him sound a bit like a more suave GOB). Is anyone else watching it? It's insanely funny and crazy and not at ALL politically correct. Anyway, yeah, if you can get your hands on the pilot and like the humor, you'll like the rest of the series, so far at least; if you don't, you won't.

I have a feeling I'll have MST3K: The Movie on repeat all weekend. Unless I watch the Eddie Izzard biopic. Oh, and I get to potentially break some stuff by installing a new shower head since i hate the one I have now.

while packing, i have discovered that the majority of my DVDs are not in their cases, which is fine, as i have one of those huge portable DVD albums, but i have to reassemble my MST3K boxed sets for transport because otherwise i will NEVER find all the discs. argh.

panfandom summerfest, now with lyrics! jump on in. =D

-i finished the big bang theory season 2 this weekend, and then dipped my toe into sheldon/penny fanfic. that particular ship is reminding me of how i felt when i first started reading goren/eames fic, for law & order: criminal intent: i was fine reading it but didn't particularly want to see it on the show. especially with how batshit the writers have occasionally been of late. i'm definitely beginning to understand sheldon/penny, although i do still get sad when leonard is obviously pining over penny on the show.

-speaking of law & order: criminal intent, did anyone else watching notice the lack of beard continuity at the end of the most recent show? i would find screencaps to demonstrate, but i am lazy. anyway:

goren with medical examiner: shaved
goren in bullpen in next damn scene: bearded.

if i had the time or mental energy i'd blame it on some sort of undercover operation. or maybe he was being moses in a school play. with his niece. the niece that i can't quite figure out his exact relation to. yay for retcon! although retcon still can't explain the magical beard. like he's one of those play-doh heads or a chia pet.

-or like in mst3k: space mutiny when the woman who had died a few scenes earlier was somehow magically on the bridge again. "i think it's very nice of you to give that dead woman another chance."

-i had forgotten that i had mst3k: phantom planet on dvd. love it when that happens.

-photos from iron man 2 are out! i'm so excited.

-[ETA] forgot the stupidest/most important point: i've been seeing so much on Sims 3 and people creating fandom characters (sheldon and penny, mostly) in the game that now i almost want to get a copy and make a little River Heights with nancy and ned living in it. oh, and chuck and sarah in their own apartment. THIS URGE MUST BE STOPPED.

ooh guess what, poll time!
