-i finished the big bang theory season 2 this weekend, and then dipped my toe into sheldon/penny fanfic. that particular ship is reminding me of how i felt when i first started reading goren/eames fic, for law & order: criminal intent: i was fine reading it but didn't particularly want to see it on the show. especially with how batshit the writers have occasionally been of late. i'm definitely beginning to understand sheldon/penny, although i do still get sad when leonard is obviously pining over penny on the show.

-speaking of law & order: criminal intent, did anyone else watching notice the lack of beard continuity at the end of the most recent show? i would find screencaps to demonstrate, but i am lazy. anyway:

goren with medical examiner: shaved
goren in bullpen in next damn scene: bearded.

if i had the time or mental energy i'd blame it on some sort of undercover operation. or maybe he was being moses in a school play. with his niece. the niece that i can't quite figure out his exact relation to. yay for retcon! although retcon still can't explain the magical beard. like he's one of those play-doh heads or a chia pet.

-or like in mst3k: space mutiny when the woman who had died a few scenes earlier was somehow magically on the bridge again. "i think it's very nice of you to give that dead woman another chance."

-i had forgotten that i had mst3k: phantom planet on dvd. love it when that happens.

-photos from iron man 2 are out! i'm so excited.

-[ETA] forgot the stupidest/most important point: i've been seeing so much on Sims 3 and people creating fandom characters (sheldon and penny, mostly) in the game that now i almost want to get a copy and make a little River Heights with nancy and ned living in it. oh, and chuck and sarah in their own apartment. THIS URGE MUST BE STOPPED.

that's true. it seems a bit more disorganized this time around, what with people not actually replying to the fic they're reviewing, and all. and the star trek, and the fandoms i've never heard of. feels like there isn't as much variety as there has been.

that or i just really feel that the world needs a lot more chuck/sarah fic.

A lot of people feel that way about Sheldon/Penny - interesting, but don't want to see it on the show. I understand. But Jim and Kaley's scenes are so much fun I can't help but want to see it down the line... maybe in 2-3 years. :)

I'd love anything Penny/Sheldon, Chuck/Sarah or Lois/Clark!

There will never be enough Chuck/Sarah stories and especially not stories with a good grasp of Sarah's voice. (Ever read stories with a hysterical, weepy Sarah all because Chuck is frustrated with their cover? Yeeuch.) So you must take up the slack and fill your f-list with Chuck/Sarah goodness and angst. I am a sucker for angst.

I can't quite buy into Sheldon/Penny as a couple as of now, but I am sure that I'll be all over it by the time there's a fourth season. Any fic recs?

usually in those terrible chuck/sarah stories, if i've managed to choke through the terrible grammar and lack of correct punctuation, i see exactly what you're talking about. ugh. and i will do my best to attempt to counteract it!

as for sheldon/penny, from what i've read so far, htbthomas's porn battle entry is neat, and i know there's more there but it hasn't been indexed yet (dammit); here's another one. also, yuletide: the failure of einstein's universe. there seems to be a lot of it going on over at the sheldon_penny comm.

I feel the same way about Sheldon/Penny. I just love them as a pair, not necessarily romantically involved? But some of the fic I've dabbled in does it in a way that I can totally see happening so I don't know. I love them both in any case, and think she has like ZERO chemistry with Leonard.
