My God, Criminal Intent.
So, I have to say, props for maintaining continuity, limiting Olivia d'Abo's screen time as Nicole, and then FRIGGIN' KILLING HER.
(Her lips were incredibly puffy in this ep, for some reason. During that weird time when I couldn't figure out if she was really dead, and we were theorizing that maybe she had her own heart transplanted? I was like, maybe she started on anti-rejection pills early and those acted like collagen to her lips. Or no.)
Also, I could feel a thousand fanfic authors' minds exploding when Goren and Eames shut themselves in the honeymoon suite with Nicole's dug-out heart. And, though it would pleasantly have ramped up the angst, I'm glad Eames didn't get smacked up with the paralyzing poison. Now, if someone wants to write that as an AU to this ep...
My God. So Mark Ford Brady was Goren's dad. I need to sit down with the timeline and figure out exactly when Bobby found that out, and what was happening around then. And Declan...
"You're free, Bobby."
With that rationale, I am extremely glad they didn't go after Eames. Although I'm still just weirded out by the whole prospect. Declan was giving Bobby a puzzle, to rejuvenate him... by killing his family members. Or at least the one he could find. Honestly, it's almost like Declan was really saying, "You know what? Jo went nuts, and you're my other 'child,' so, let's just see if I can really fuck you up, Bobby, let's see if I can push you the other way like I theorized back in Blind Spot."
I really expected Goren to stand up, pick up the chair he was sitting in, and totally kill Declan with it. Honestly.
Here's to next season.

She was the only one worthy of a challenge to good ol' Bobby. And now she's gone.

Date: 2008-08-31 12:00 am (UTC)I noticed you added my other journal (eames218), so I was wondering if I could add you on this one.*
*Mostly based on the notion that someone who writes Perry/Della kind of needs to be in my flist. I hope you don't mind *g*
